And one implementation is not like another. What exactly can you expect from this process? And what is the definition of a very good implementation when it comes to OCR software?

Implementation: what is the ideal pathway?

Usually an implementation consultant takes care of the process for your organization. He or she will come to your location to set up the OCR software so that you can work perfectly with it. Curious about the ideal implementation process with a consultant? We list the 4 steps for you!

  1. Assessment The consultant asks what expectations you have of the package and explains what the OCR software will do for you. She goes through your work process and asks additional questions in order to map out how the document recognition solution can make your life easier.
  2. Software installation The consultant sets up the OCR software based on what you have discussed. You then book a test bill together so you can experience working with the system. At each step, the consultant explains what is important to remember.
  3. Explanation The consultant spends an entire day giving a basic explanation of the OCR software and applying the knowledge gained to your specific environment. First he covers standard invoices, then the more complex invoices. On this day you will have ample opportunity to practice with the solution yourself.
  4. Discussion of test results After a test period (during which you were able to test all possible options independently), the consultant will visit you again. You will get answers to all the questions that arose during this period. Then that’s it: the consultant will take you live. If you have additional questions, you can ask them directly. The consultant sits next to you to guide you through this exciting step!
