What is Peppol?

Peppol (Pan-European Public Procurement OnLine) is a secure European network through which companies and governments exchange e-invoices. The big advantage of Peppol is that you always use the same standard, so invoices arrive at the recipient quickly, error-free and safely.

In the Netherlands, all government agencies have been required to receive e-invoices via Peppol since April 2019. Increasingly, companies are also requiring their suppliers to submit e-invoices this way. So it is not a question of “if,” but of “when” your organization will start using it.
