Collaboration between procurement and finance: how do you optimize your processes?

Good cooperation between procurement and finance is essential to the success of any organization. When they join forces and things run smoothly as a result, you have a solid foundation for healthy operations. But why is this really so important? And where do you start when you want to optimize cooperation between these departments?
